Verified flexibility

Curtailment your utility can bank on.

Utilities are offering faster connections and new revenue to large loads that can flex. The catch: a flexibility commitment is only worth what you can prove. Nyquist verifies curtailment from the same measured record you use for compliance.

Where flexibility pays

Flexibility is becoming a currency for grid access.

Faster interconnection

Flexible and conditional connection agreements let sites energize before full firm capacity is available, if they commit to curtail when the grid needs it.

Program revenue

Capacity, demand response and large load curtailment programs pay for reductions that can be measured and settled.

Lower risk in agreements

Measured performance history gives you leverage when negotiating curtailment terms, and protects you when performance is disputed.

Why measurement matters

Self-reported flexibility will not survive the first dispute.

Workload controllers can tell you what they asked the servers to do. Only measurement at the point of interconnection shows what the grid actually received. Nyquist is independent of the controller, the operator and the utility, which is what makes the result credible.

  • Baselines built from the facility's measured load
  • Event performance on depth, speed and duration of response
  • Settlement-grade reports for utilities and program administrators
  • Same recorder, same model as your compliance evidence
FAQ

Verified flexibility, explained.

What is verified flexibility?

Verified flexibility is curtailment performance measured at the point of interconnection and reported in a way a utility, grid operator or program administrator can rely on. It shows how much load actually came off, how fast, and for how long.

Why is server level telemetry not enough?

Telemetry from inside the facility is self-reported and does not show what the grid saw. Utilities settle and plan against the point of interconnection, so verification has to be measured there.

Does this require Nyquist to control our load?

No. You keep full control of your operations. Nyquist measures and verifies the result; we do not dispatch or throttle anything.

Which programs does this apply to?

Flexible or conditional interconnection agreements, connect and manage arrangements, large load curtailment and emergency programs such as those created under Texas SB6, and demand response or capacity programs where performance must be demonstrated.
